in Chicago,US 127 years have passed for the historic address of Swami Vivekananda in the World Parliament of Religions held. Come, during this time we tell you about another remarkable address of the great saint of the 19th century. He gave this speech titled 'Great Teachers of the World' on February 3, 1900 at the Shakespeare Club in Pasadena, California. During this time, he analyzed the prophets and their messages in the context of religion. In this, he talked about Islam and Muslims.
During this time he rejected the idea that my Prophet is the only Prophet. He had said, "You think that you have the knowledge of reality, divinity and God, and see these things in one Prophet and not in anyone else, then I conclude that you do not have divinity in anyone Understand. You have simply swallowed the words and become a community. Like it happens in party-politics. "
Vivekananda said that this can happen in the case of ideas but in the case of religions it is not right. He said that no single prophet can be the form of truth. He had said that every prophet had to accomplish something and he gave the message of God to the world. He said that if someone understands that his prophet is the only prophet then he does not understand religion. He said that religion is not debate, theory or intellectual consensus.
He believed that religion is a realization of a reality inside our heart, like touching God. He further said that it is a feeling of being a soul of itself, which shows that we are also a part of this cosmic God and it explains all its manifestations. He called it a moment of strong feeling. For example, he said, "I will become a prophet." You will become a child of God. You will become a bearer of light… no. I will become God myself. "
He had said that the worship and respect of such prophets is happening in every religion, but Muslims are different in this matter. He had said that as a human being it is natural that we worship a person or respect him a lot. Of a person who is higher than us on a spiritual level. Vivekananda said, the Muslim community has been against any such worship from the beginning and has nothing to do with the worship or honor of a prophet.
He reminded that instead of one prophet, thousands of sages and saints are worshiped and this is good, it is a fact. He had said that some Muslims are quite rude in this matter and have become communal. They think that there is a God, there is only one prophet and they are Muhammad. Referring to its dangerous effects on 'Kafirs', he said that he thinks that everything other than Islam should be destroyed, those who do not believe in Islam should be killed.
He further spoke of the thinking of 'some Muslims' that he intended that those who are not worshiped in Islam, their idols should be broken and non-religious places should be demolished, to teach about other religion. Books should be burnt. He said, "From the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean, blood flowed all over the world for 500 years. This is Mohammedism! "
Swami Vivekananda was right in view of many of the later and earlier events. Whether it is the cruelty of Islamic invaders or the actions of organizations like Al Qaeda and ISIS. Swami Vivekananda said that even if Islam was spread by shedding blood, but if it did not do anything good then it would not have survived. He said that it is good, Prophet Muhammad gave the message of brotherhood and equality.
He believed that every prophet taught something or the other and Muhammed's life was bright and quite telling. For example, he told that no one should come in the way of caste, color, creed, lineage, community or gender. He gave an example that the Sultan of Turkey could buy a negro slave from Africa, but if he became a Muslim, the Sultan could marry his daughter to him. However, now the situation is worse and Shia-Sunni- Ahmadiyya has many fights going on. This sense of equality is being made fun of in the world. When the country was divided on the basis of religion, by then Swami Vivekananda had become Brahmin. The teachings he used to talk about and the equality he referred to in Islam are no longer seen. Terrorist activities all over the world are screaming it out.
According to Swami Vivekananda, all other religions of the world stand on the basis of historical biographies except Hinduism. But Hinduism stands on the foundation of some elements. He had said, "No person on the earth - man or woman, can afford to build the Vedas." That is why our religion does not depend on any particular person, here many sages and sages have taken birth and will continue to take it further.
